About Us
Since its beginning, Inspection Depot, Inc. has continually focused on customer service, quality results, advanced technology systems; and, most of all, providing an exceptional inspection and claims service.
Our aim is to get the claim right the first time while ensuring accuracy based on verified coverage, detailed property damage assessments & quality estimates. All this, provided in a timely manner, limits our client’s exposure to protracted claims and unnecessary expenses.
Coming from the building inspection and analysis field, and having completed numerous training programs on building condition assessments and the effect of aging, all enables us to develop and deploy the most experienced claims adjusters available to the industry, and equip them with the skills and tools necessary to ensure files are documented and prepared with the end goal in mind. The best offense is a better defense.
Furthermore, Inspection Depot has one of the largest networks of licensed contractors with loss adjusting experience in the industry today. This provides an excellent opportunity for our clients to not just work with adjusters, but also loss adjusting contractors that bring a wealth of both construction wisdom and claims adjusting the experience to the table. This is truly what makes us different and enables us to tackle the most difficult of claims and represent our clients at any level.
Our Founder
To say that Michael is driven, consumed by, and more excited every day, about the opportunities and challenges of Inspection Depot and its clients, is an understatement. Michael, originally from County Kildare Ireland, moved to the UK to finish college and become a Chartered Building Surveyor and to complete his Post Graduate in construction management. After 7 years, Michael emigrated to the United States, where he immediately saw the opportunities and needs for similar services. Michael started his first business providing inspection services to residential and commercial clients. His goal was to build a company on the backbone of high ethics, one file and one inspector at a time, utilizing proven and proprietary training developed for each and every one of our client’s needs.
In the earlier years of business, Michael spent time focusing on the biggest challenges facing the industry, the availability of training on demand, or as he says, any training for that matter, as well as consistency in reporting and deliverables. Michael deployed online training as early as 2000 and developed what he calls the RTR concept, Ready To Report, in the late 90’s to overcome the problem with consistency in the reporting deliverable. He authored the Home Guide reporting system used on thousands of real estate inspections over the years, which was based on recognizing and recording, and letting the report and software do the rest. This same concept is used today with all programs we manage, and provides the backbone for our Virtual Inspection programs and initiatives.
His drive to automate and standardize every phase of each project led to the development of many IT platforms, such as the Inspection Depot Management platform, www.paperlessinpectors.com, a third-party inspection and adjusting management platform, the Home Energy Score mentorship and QA platform, Automated Inspector, as well as many handheld applications.

For a Florida license, you may visit the DFS website for information on obtaining your adjuster license at www.MyFloridaCFO.com/division/agents.
Please visit the Department of Insurance for your home state or the state you are interested in obtaining your adjuster’s license for more information.
If your home state does not issue adjuster’s licenses, you will have to pick a state as your “Designated home state”.
If you are looking into becoming a property or auto adjuster, it greatly helps to have a background in the industry, even if you do not have adjusting experience.
For property adjusting, coming from the construction, home inspection, or real estate industries greatly improves your chances of being successful.
If you are looking to become an auto adjuster, having a background of working in a body shop, or as an auto insurance agent would greatly increase your chances of being a successful auto adjuster.
Inspection Depot’s home office is in Jacksonville, FL, but we have the ability to set up remote office locations/support centers as needed in the case of a major event. While our home base may be in Florida, we are always looking for experienced adjusters nationwide!
Deployment duration is entirely dependent on the event in question, with many factors involved in determining the length of any deployments. Factors such as event severity, type of assignment, client/company needs, performance, and more will all play a role in the length of an assignment or deployment.
Fee schedules will vary from client to client, as well as on the magnitude of a given event. Inspection Depot offers a competitive fee split in relation to the adjuster’s experience or current performance.
License requirements will vary from state to state, with some states requiring a license in each specific claims arena, or others that do not require a license at all. Insurance Adjusters are required to hold and adjusters license for their home-state, so if your home-state does not require or offer an adjuster’s license, you will be required to designate a state as your ‘designated home state’.
Florida has recently moved to providing only all-lines licensing to new adjusters, so you will be required to have knowledge of all forms of claims handling in order to obtain this licensure.
